I hate Wonder Woman's costume. I just think it's ugly. So, from time to time, I feel compelled to redesign the character. Last time, I wanted to give her a more contemporary look. [link]

This time, I'm trying to get rid of what I think is the major flaw in Wonder Woman's so-called "classic" costume: it's just a garish collection of colors, all competing for our attention. Honestly, it's a mess. My solution to the problem here is to get rid of the blue, replacing it with a more elegant black, while using the remaining red and yellow in a more coherent fashion.

At the same time, I tried to make the character look like a post-modern Greek goddess, which is what she's supposed to be, isn't it?

Nice redesign! It definitely has that Greek Goddess feel to it while being modern at the same time. I never stopped to think about Wonder Woman's costume, but I kind of took it for granted that they intented to make a design using the U.S. flag, and adding some gold to it-- beware Captain America! =P

I'd be really interested in seeing your version of the Wonder Woman costume, btw.

My thoughts are the same as DiegoTripodi - I like the way you meshed the Greek Goddess look with a more modern feel. It suits the character!

I think this is awesome!!!

I just think the nose guard looks a little wierd.
But all in all it's a great piece.

I think for WW I would probably go in a similar direction to what you did here: trying to get a goddess look and getting rid of the sexy promoter look (sort of like the girls working at places like gas stations, or that appear in the calendars that mechanics have in their shops :D). I guess this character should look epic, but it's a superhero at the same time, so I think that's why your redesign works so well-- it captures the essence of what I think Wonder Woman is like. ;)

Yeah, Wonder Woman never exactly had the best costume. I always liked Zatanna's costume though. Maybe they could be incorporated together one day :D
