Doctor Who by The-Mirrorball-Man Doctor Who by The-Mirrorball-Man
Patrick Troughton, the second Doctor, in the long-running BBC television series Doctor Who.

We can also see his companions Jamie and Zoe, as well as St-Paul's Cathedral and two Cybermen.

This is a very direct homage to a piece made by *Sally-Avernier about the tenth Doctor. You can see it here (and really, you should) :D

The second Doctor is my favorite. It is very tempting to draw the whole lot of them, I have to admit.

I'd say go for it. I'm a lifelong Dr. Who fan, and it's good to see the older Doctors getting some attention for a change. Not that I'm knocking the three most recent, but still...

I regret that I'm only familiar with the Tenth doctor ... so I have nothing constructive to say, other than this is a great pic :)

I love the new series, but I was never able to get into the original series, mainly because they're not in syndication here in the US... If you can't watch them chronologically, they don't make much sense.

This guy Patrick Troughton played the Doctor between 1966 and 1969. Honestly, most of his stories were not much more than excuses to have the Doctor and his friends land on a cardboard planet and fight rubber monsters. It was very much a kiddies show back then. Still, there was something magical about Troughton's performance that in my opinion is still entertaining today. [link]

He's mine. A favorite Doctor is like an astrological sign: everybody has one and it's totally irrational. ;)

Ah the Trout Man. Never actually seen any of this Doctor's episodes (I hear there aren't many survived- evil BBC). My favourite was Sylvester McCoy.

Honestly, you're not missing much. Most of the Troughton serials are very simplistic cardboard-monster-of-the-week deals. The Mighty Trout himself was a fantastic actor, though. He had the magical ability to turn almost any story, no matter how ridiculous, into compelling entertainment.

Merci à toi, ton dessin m'a inspiré, et j'ai modestement tenté de marcher sur tes traces. ;)

Maintenant, il ne reste plus qu'à trouver huit autres personnes pour dessiner ceux qui manquent!

The second Doctor is my favorite, which is why I drew this one. It made the whole process of drawing this a little tricky, though, since back then, the series was in black & white. :)
